Overview

Designed and prototyped a tilt-rotor mechanism for a hybrid VTOL delta-wing aircraft. The system enabled controlled transition between vertical lift and forward flight configurations.

Scope of Work

• 3D modeling and full assembly in CATIA V5
• Design of tilt-rotor housing and gear interface
• Integration of servo actuation for controlled rotation
• Structural mounting to main spar / fuselage
• 3D printing and physical assembly of mechanism
• Functional testing for transition stability

Outcome

Tilt mechanism achieved controlled rotation under motor load and was validated through ground and transition testing.
